Who we’re racing for

We chose to fundraise for Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge as a way to honor our late Father and Grandpa, Den Pluimer. Den spent hundreds of hours volunteering as a mentor to dozens of men in recovery at MNTC and leading significant fundraising efforts through MNTC’s annual fishing challenge on Gull Lake each year. Den passed in August of 2025 after a two year battle with cancer, and this May marked the first fishing tournament he’s missed in many years. Through Den’s mentorships, we’ve seen firsthand the success this organization has had in transforming lives. While the impact he made may never be matched, we hope to step up in Den’s absence as a passionate supporter and mentor of the struggling men, women, and teens seeking treatment at MNTC.
