“I have recently felt a sense that callousness is rising in the world to the degree of becoming normalized. I am morally opposed to this type of thinking and moved by a desire to counterbalance it with compassion. The scale at which Chef José Andrés and World Central Kitchen are doing good in the world is inspiring. As I start my race, I cannot think of a more worthy cause to fight for than feeding people in moments of crisis.”
“This will be my first official half marathon. I am looking forward to running many more races and supporting many charities along this journey. I am grateful for everyone who has supported me in my life and now I'm racing to pay it forward.”
